Question by flosstoothpaste: How to get medical experience for PA school?
i am graduating from college with a degree in english in less than a month, then i’m planning to go back to school in the fall to get the prereqs for PA (physician’s assistant) school.

how do i go about getting the experience? it seems tough to break into the field and get hands-on experience without certification, and that seems to be the only kind that the PA school cares about.

if i take a 6- month long EMT certification class in fall, would that be a good start? are hands-on medical jobs easier to attain with this certification?

Check with the PA school. They will be able to tell you what kind of experience they require and may be able to refer you to places that are hiring. Most medical jobs require certification.
